AUFMC, Essensa Spa build partnership for health wellness
The opening of Essensa Spa at the Angeles University Foundation Medical Center (AUFMC) last May 21 has paved way for a partnership for health wellness, a growing campaign among health institutions and organizations in the country today.
Sen. Chiz Escudero, DOT Region 3 Dir. Ronnie Tiotuico and Angeles City Mayor Francis “Blueboy” Nepomuceno led the opening rites for the wellness center amid a very enthusiastic crowd at the AUFMC. Essensa Spa is located at the side of AUFMC along Mac Arthur Highway, Angeles City.

Essensa is a therapeutic treatment using finest extracts, essences and oils that was born in the heart of Provence, France with the original vision of offering an alternative to Western medicine.
Flor I. Arrozal, Essensa Spa owner, said the wellness center is a joint concept with Atty. Martin Gabriel Angeles, president and CEO of AUFMC.
“When I put up Cofi Academy at AUFMC, Atty. Martin asked me if I were interested in setting up a wellness spa to cater to the hospital patients and provide in-patient service as part of their campaign for preventive medicine,” Arrozal said.
Arrozal said Essensa Spa is offering various body massages like Essensa Signature with facial mask, Swedish, and Shiatsu; body and facial treatments like anti-stress, firming and slimming, detoxifying, scrubbing, anti-acne for the face and whitening; and others including foot massage, waxing, ventosa and reflexology.
She added that they will help AUFMC promote alternative medicine to people seeking therapy to prevent or eliminate stress and other illnesses.
“The body treatments and massages are few of the best ways to fight stress. Too much stress affects our body’s immune system as well as resistance to illness. So if we help our body soothe and relax through treatments and massages, we have bigger chances of fighting stress,” Arrozal said.
Arrozal is also the owner of Coffee Academy in Balibago and AUFMC, as well as the NET@Fia Internet shops along Sto. Rosario St., Angeles City. (Story by Mini Arceo/Photos by Albert Lacanlale and MZA)

My wife and I tried massage to-day 29/12/2009. Since we are very frequently having massage (since 25 years in all countries in Asia), we can say that we are experienced. For us Essensa is within the top 3 of quality parlors.
Lots of succes in the future ! You deserve it.
