MABALACAT, Pampanga – In preparation for this year’s Mabalacat Town Fiesta, Mayor Boking Morales by virtue of Executive Order No. 01 Series of 2010 creates the 2010 Mabalacat Town Fiesta Executive Committee (MABALACAT TOWN FIESTA EXECOM 2010).

The committee composed of the following: Hon. Marino P. Morales, Honorary Chairman, Mr. Deng Pangilinan, Chairperson, Mr. Jun M. Magbalot, Co-Chairperson, members are: Hon. Miguel D. Morales, Hon. Jeng Q. Yumul, Mr. Rosan S. Paquia, Ms. Carmelita P. Sotto, Ms. Adelina Santos, Ms. Clarence E. Flores, Mr. Jesus Dungca, PSUPT. Gregorio Lim, Mr. Gerry Dayrit, Mr. Benjie R. Pangan, Mr. Bernie A. Relles, Ms. Leah Diaz and Ms. Judy Ann Dela Cruz. The said executive committees are task to work and organize the calendar of activities to make the town fiesta a success.

During their meeting held last January 11 & 18 at the mayor’s office, they talk over the January-February calendar of major events such as the Pre-Pageant and Coronation Night of the Mutya ning Mabalacat 2010 that will be held on the 27th and 30th of January at the entertainment centre of Marquee Mall and the Caragan Festival ‘2010 that will be held on the 26th of February to be participated by the different various public and private schools in Mabalacat. A trade fair to be organized and handled by the towns’ Women’s League was likewise brought out during the forum, “This trade fair intent to boost livelihood for the Mabalaquenos” Pangilinan said.

A separate meeting was conducted for the PE teachers and Choreographers last January 15 at the mayor’s office to orient and inform the participating schools regarding rules and guidelines for the caragan festival and other related activities.

This year’s celebration portrayed its theme by depicting the Mabalacat progressive development and the envisioned to be the next MANOMA (Makati North of Manila). In addition, it is also to honor and give tribute to the first settlers of Mabalacat, the Aetas and the first chieftain of this town, Caragan who has an enormous contribution to our towns’ history and culture.
