A new gathering place that will redefine shopping, dining and entertainment experience in Central Luzon is now in Angeles City. Ayala Land’s first venture in the region, MarQuee Mall brings a special fusion of the traditional and the novel, a feature distinctively identified with the Ayala Malls.

A project of North Beacon Commercial Corporation, a 100 % wholly owned subsidiary of Ayala Land, Inc., MarQuee Mall houses the Metro Department Store and Supermarket, four (4) digital cinemas, an activity center, children’s playground, civic park and transport terminal.

Metro Department Store and Supermarket is MarQuee mall’s anchor merchant. Metro started in Cebu in 1982. It offers quality and a variety of merchandise that are highly competitive and reasonable. Metro can also be found in Bonifacio, Global City (Metro Market!Market!), Cebu City, Legaspi, Mandaue, Lucena and at the Metro Ayala in Ayala Center Cebu.

The first of its kind in Central Luzon, MarQuee Mall offers more than 300 popular and specialty stores of local and affordable international brands, fast food outlets, casual-dining restaurants, grills, four (4) digital cinemas, cafés and an amusement center with a mixture of the new trends and concepts such as flagship stores, food showcase from known restaurateurs and highly-pronounced zones for kids, teens, sports, IT, home and wellness.

MarQuee Mall will showcase choice and select shopping by bringing in the best local and foreign brands in shopping and dining to Pampanga interspersed with Central Luzon’s arts, crafts and cuisine. Popular local brands include Bench, Kamiseta, Bayo, Kashieca, Human, Penshoppe, Folded & Hung. Marks & Spencer, Lacoste Clothing and Footwear, Aerosoles, Nine West, Beauty Bar, Charles & Keith represent the international brands. The mall’s junior anchor stores include True Value, Abenson, Toys R’ Us, Saizen, Wilcon Home Essentials . Top notch dining features TGI Fridays, Italianni’s, Red Kimono, Xtremely Expresso, Sumo Sam. Popular Kapampangan specialties like Nathaniel’s, Susie’s Cuisine, Kabigting’s Halo Halo, Aling Lucing and Ikabud add to the unique mix of the mall.

Come September 23, MarQuee Mall will offer a venue for local festivities and occasions. Discerning shoppers will enjoy unique and compelling events featuring both local culture and Ayala Malls signature events.

Marquee’s activity center is a dynamic events venue that will serve as an entertainment
hub where visitors can hang around and enjoy different kinds of activities such as live
performances, shows, exhibits and the like. Also featured in the activity area is a unique water feature and a children’s playground.

And since landscaping is also another signature of the Ayala Malls, MarQuee has a landscaped drop-off and entry area and a half-hectare garden, facing the Angeles City Hall.

The garden serves as the civic park, a street level park that will provide a venue for get-togethers, meetings and social activities. It has a festive indoor-outdoor feel for unique and compelling events that promote bonding with families and friends. The civic park also has an interactive fountain which features a playful choreography of lights and a water display. This alfresco experience is further heightened by beautiful art installations and lush landscaping.

With a total land area of 9.3 hectares, MarQuee Mall also provides several amenities including a parking area for more than 1,000 vehicles, a public transport terminal dedicated for buses, jeepneys, AUVs and tricycles, a customer lounge, and concierge services.

Inspired by the Kapampangans’ rich and lively culture that is reflected in their propensity to always gather, dine and celebrate life’s occasions, MarQuee Mall was developed to serve as a regional shopping center that brings together a rich and unique experience reminiscent of a lively town plaza, infused with an urban vibe. MarQuee Mall feels familiar yet fresh. It is the favorite gathering place in Central Luzon.

Marquee Mall is the retail component of Marquee, a 53-hectare integrated community in Central Luzon skillfully developed by Ayala Land that also includes MarQuee Place, a residential development located just a few meters away.

“Along with Marquee Place (a residential development by Alveo Land), the mall is the definitive lifestyle destination in Central Luzon. It will showcase Manila’s premier dining, entertainment and shopping experience as well as unique homegrown concepts that will highlight the dynamic lifestyle and rich culture of Kapampangans. The entire development raises the bar of the residential and commercial experience in Central Luzon. This would spur greater economic activity by attracting both local and foreign investors to Pampanga and by generating more employees to contribute to the local economy,” Mark Sablan, MarQuee Mall’s General Manager said.

Only an hour away from Manila and strategically located a few minute drive away from the Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), MarQuee Mall sits right at Angeles Exit of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).

I guess you all have at least once dreamed of living in a paradise-like community where every place is simply a mesmerizing haven. It never occurred to me before that in the midst of Bataan, Philippines there is such a place. Last May 20, I was able to join the Clark Press Tour in Anvaya Cove Morong, Bataan with other media friends and BCDA officers. I’m glad that my sister Mini insisted me to go (to take photos…lol) since she couldn’t join the trip. The entire tour was exactly what I needed at that time, an escape from the city!

From Clark Freeport Zone via SCTEX (Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway), the trip to Anvaya Cove is less than two hours. But if you are coming from Manila, it will be 2 1/2 hour-drive. This sprawling 320-hectare leisure development is Ayala land’s first venture in leisure development. It is indeed a perfect escape from the city with its natural beauty. Its rolling hills are planted with hundreds of bamboo, mango, cupang, cashew and narra trees that are just perfect for trekking and nature camping. Moreover, with a peak elevation of over 130 meters above sea level, it overlooks the 3.5 kilometer-coastline with two private coves.

The only regret I had about the tour-  I didn’t indulge myself into a bracing dip in the beach…I missed the fun of swimming in the cool seawater. (Hmmn, maybe on my next visit? Oh(sigh), when will that be?)

Btw, here are some of the photos I took during my whole day stay at Anvaya Cove…
