The Shops
Having the best climate with an altitude of about 6,000 feet above sea level, Genting Highlands is surely one of the best destinations in the world. The whole place was developed by the Malaysian government as an entertainment city with one of the longest and steepest cable car facility in Asia.
Only 45-minute off Kuala Lumpur, Genting Highlands is very accessible. There are public transport buses leaving every 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. There are also buses from Singapore that go straight to Genting Highlands.
The place has a huge theme park with all the shops, stores, and fun rides of different types and speeds. There is also a monorail that goes around the theme park while a hotel and Casino is likewise available for tourists staying overnight or longer.
There are also concerts and performances booked at the Casino and hotel while other attractions like the cable car, the malls and a mini-zoo completes the package for tourists looking for non-stop fun and entertainment at the highlands. The cable car travels 15-minute down and 15-minute going up over Genting’s beautiful rain forest. About 200 cable cars travel at the same time with a maximum of eight persons per car. The cars leave the station every 15 minutes from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
At 2 to 4 p.m., Genting is literally covered with fog. So when you visit this great entertainment city, bring along sweaters and jackets so as not to catch colds! (Story by Mini A./Photos by Trends and Spots)
