Palatable. Delightful. Savory. The mouth-watering pastries of Kuliat spells the difference among others. Agreeable to the discriminating taste of the Kapampangans and it’s nearby provinces.

Kuliat Cakes and Patries (KCP) was originally owned by Dr. and Mrs. Daniel Cruz and their family, who were based in Angeles City. The word Kuliat derived its name from a tree growing in Angeles which was also its original name during the Spanish time. But when the family decided to migrate in the States, they sold the rights to its current owners Alexei David Wendy Lynnette (wife of Alexei), Jonas, Moses. In the year 2006, KCP has been incorporated y the David siblings and is now known as Kuliat Cakes, Empanada and Pastries Inc. (KCEPI).

In the hands of its previous owners, Kuliat was known for their empanada. The taste was good – with an appealing ad appetizing flavor. But Wendy Lynnette (who earned a degree in baking and cooking from famed Henry Sison School of Culinary Arts) was dissatisfied with its taste. With her keen appetite she enhanced the recipe of empanada. The various stuffing made a little fluffier is the variant of their empanada. More chewable and would surely gratify your palate.

KCEPI’s superior quality pastries were hailed as one of the companies best-sellers. KCEPI was accredited to use the “Vida Pampanga” Brand of Excellence in 2006, under the administration of former Pampanga Governor Mark T. Lapid. The marketing strategy of the company is very simple: “to cater affordable yet quality made pastries to people from all walks of life”.
Product lines of KCEPI includes empanada, cassava cake, brownies, special macaroons, sansrival, cupcakes, and all the best selling products of Aling Conching brand which are marketed internationally.

With the economic recession worldwide, KCEPI has not yet felt the impact through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. As what would Alexei always say: “We put everything in God’s name and glory”. (Story by Rey Pineda/Photos courtesy of Alexei David)
